Shopping

Sydney is one of the world's great style capitals. It's the perfect place to stock up on designer fashion, local labels, handcrafted jewellery and chic homewares. From multi-storey shopping centres to tiny boutiques, bustling markets and historic arcades, there are plenty of ways to shop up a storm in Sydney.

Shops in Sydney typically open from 0900 to 1730 hours during the week with late night shopping hours on Thursday. The closest shopping center to Rydges World Square Hotel is World Square shopping mall located at 644 George Street, which opens Friday & Saturday 10am-7pm, and Sunday 11am to 5pm.

Tipping

Tipping is not as widespread or regulated in Australia as it is in other parts of the world. Tipping is at your prerogative; a reward for service. A gratuity of about 10% is usual in restaurants if good service is received. Tips for taxis are regarded as optional.

Time

Local time in Sydney in July is GMT +11 AEST
