ABA Australia is offering a small number of conference scholarships. Scholarships will cover thecost of a full conference registration plus additional money for travel costs as follows:
$400 for student members
$300 for affiliate or professional members
Applicants must:
Be a current member of Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia for at least 6 months.
Live in regional/remote areas of Australia.
Regional Australia includes all of the towns, small cities and areas that lie beyond the following capital cities:
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, and Canberra.
Or the following major regional centres: Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Canberra, Newcastle/Lake Macquarie, Wollongong/Illawarra, and Geelong.
Darwin is considered regional.
Proof of address/location will be required as part of the application process.
How will applicants be selected?
The
selection process will aim to reduce the barriers to participating in
the conference which may be experienced by those individuals living in
rural/remote areas in Australia.
The scholarships will be awarded after consideration of the responses to the selection criteria. Selection will also take into account diversity in gender, location, and fields of practice.
Selection of the successful applicants will be determined by the ABA Australia Conference Committee.
Selection Criteria:
Applicants will be required to answer the following questions:
How will your attendance at the conference strengthen your current or future work practice?
How do you plan to share your experience at the conference with your local staff/colleagues?
How can you help promote ABA Australia in your rural/regional area?
In addition to these responses, applicants will also be required to submit a current and brief curriculum vitae (CV) outlining education qualifications and work experience.
