COVID-19 Information

ABA Australia
2022 Conference
29th to 31st July

Event Safety during the pandemic

As the COVID-19 global pandemic status changes with the Omicron variant, ABA Australia is aware of the surge and the current increase of COVID-19 case. We are monitoring the government recommendations, restrictions, and public health orders to ensure that we can provide the safest event possible. ABA Australia is both cautiously optimistic and prepared to manage our live event with the health, safety, and well-being of our delegates in mind. ABA Australia is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment in which to learn.

The health and well-being of our delegates is of the upmost importance. To ensure this, we continue to closely monitor the circumstances and requirements in all states and territories in line with local, state, and national authorities, public health advice and state government public health directives, as mandated. Currently, our event is running as scheduled and we will respond appropriately and provide further updates should the situation evolve.

Update 1/3/2022

It has been announced that masks will no longer need to be worn in the majority of indoor settings in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland as of Friday 25 February.

What happens if restrictions increase?

Potential restrictions could mean that the annual conference is pivoted to a virtual only conference. This would mean that all delegates will access the content through the virtual portal and the conference would not proceed with the face-to-face component.

Delegates will be kept updated throughout the planning process and will be advised on how the conference will proceed depending on the restrictions.
