Reinstatement of Certification

Guidance for former CBA and CBA-U certificants who do not currently hold active certification and wish to return to active certification.

Choose the right pathway

How long have you been without active certification?

Your pathway is determined by the length of time since you last held active certification.

Up to 36 months

Reinstatement of Certification

This includes those who resigned their certification, allowed it to lapse or did not renew, and those who held non-practising certification.

You must demonstrate Recency of Practice. If the requirements are not met, you will follow an individualised Resumption of Practice pathway.

Assessed under the Reinstatement of Certification Policy
Beyond 36 months

New Certification Application

You must submit a new certification application and meet the Recency of Practice Requirements.

If recency requirements are not met, you must also follow an individualised resumption of practice plan prescribed by the Certification Team.

Assessed under the Resumption of Practice Policy

Up to 36 months

The first step is demonstrating recency of practice. Your evidence determines what happens next.
