Information collected through the survey assists in confirming ongoing membership eligibility and alignment with ABA Australia’s professional requirements, while also providing a clearer understanding of the behaviour analytic workforce across Australia. Workforce data collected includes information relating to professional indemnity insurance, continuing professional development, recency of practice, membership category eligibility, professional status, employment arrangements, workplace settings, geographic distribution, practice sectors, and workforce demographics. This information enables ABA Australia to identify workforce trends, understand where and how behaviour analysts are practising, identify service access needs, support workforce planning and professional development initiatives, strengthen advocacy efforts through accurate workforce data, and promote a diverse, inclusive, and culturally responsive profession. Demographic information collected through the workforce survey also supports ABA Australia’s understanding of workforce diversity, including representation across gender, age, country of birth, cultural identity, and geographic location. These insights assist in identifying opportunities to support inclusive professional standards and culturally responsive practice across the field. Members may choose whether to provide consent for their de-identified information to be included in reporting. Where consent is provided, data is anonymised prior to analysis and reported only in aggregate form. Individual members are not identifiable in any publicly available reporting. Where consent is not provided, member information is excluded from workforce analysis. Once your application has been successful, you will be sent a link to complete the survey. Following survey completion, your membership invoice will be generated and sent to you via email. Your membership will be approved and active once you receive an “Application Approved” email.
