What is my username?
Your username is your email address.
What is my password?
Your personal password is unique. Please use the forgot my password link to easily reset your password. Alternatively, reach out to our membership team at membership@auaba.com.au and they can assist with resetting your password.
How do I update my personal and contact details?
Log in to your ABA Australia account, navigate to your profile and edit your details there. It is important your details are up to date for communication purposes and to ensure that certificates are mailed to your correct address.
Do I have to be a professional in behaviour analysis to join?
You do not have to be a professional in behaviour analysis to join. In addition to behaviour analytic professionals, our membership includes professionals from a variety of disciplines. Please see our Membership Categories for more information on the requirements of each level of membership.
What membership categories are available?

How can I become a Certified Behaviour Analyst (CBA)?
Please see our Membership pages for detailed information on the courses required and the number of supervised experience hours needed. To become a CBA, you must complete postgraduate study in the field of behaviour analysis and obtain supervised experience under an approved supervisor.
Does ABA Australia provide supervision?
No. ABA Australia does not provide supervision services. If you are looking for a behaviour analyst who provides supervision in your state, please search the website under Resources for the Public – Find a Specialist – Behaviour Analytic Supervision.
Is there a membership discount for students?
A student member rate is available to part-time and full-time students enrolled in a university program. Applications for student membership must include proof of enrolment.
What is considered proof of enrolment?
We require an unofficial transcript, letter or copy of your course schedule from your university confirming your current registration in the educational institution. Current registration evidence must clearly state the following four pieces of information: the semester, trimester, quarter or year you are enrolled in, your full name, and program and course details. Students may apply for membership within one month of starting courses.
What documents are required to apply?
You can check out the eligibility and document requirements for each category of membership here – Membership Categories. Each category of membership has an application checklist available for you to download to assist with preparing your application.
How long does it take for my application to be processed?
After submitting your completed application, the membership team will confirm your application has been received within 7 days. If your application is incomplete or more information is required, the membership team will request this within 30 days. Delays may occur if applications are incomplete or emails are not responded to in a timely manner.
Why do I have to complete a declaration?
The purpose of having a declaration requirement for membership is to protect the public interest, promote and maintain high ethical standards of the profession and maintain public confidence and safeguard the profession.
When will my membership become active?
The process for application review and approval is as follows:

1. Application submitted
2. Membership team confirms your application has been received via email
3. Membership team reviews application and may request further information via email
4. Membership team confirms your application has been successful and prompts payment of the membership invoice and completion of the New Member and Renewal Application Survey
5. Membership team confirms your membership is active once payment and the survey are completed
When does my membership expire?
All categories of membership are renewed annually. Each category has different renewal requirements which can be found here – Membership Renewal.
How do I represent my ABA Australia membership?

Do you have to be a member to attend our events?
No, you do not have to be a member. However, members receive discounted member pricing for events, workshops and webinars.
Does ABA Australia offer consulting services or provide advice to the public on behaviour analytic service delivery?
No, ABA Australia does not offer consulting services or advice on behaviour analytic service delivery. If you are seeking services, you can consult our Member Directory – Find a Member webpage or browse our Service Provider webpage to locate providers across Australia.
