Membership categories - ABA Australia has been effectively providing professional self-regulation since 15 August 2022

Five career stages from entry level to expert practitioner. Self-regulates CBA and CBA-U Professional practice members Professional and Affiliates, Learning Students, Community Supports. Code of Ethical practice applies to all CBA, CBA-U, Professional, Affiliate and Student members


ABA Australia offers the following categories of membership:

Certified behaviour analyst CBA self-regulated professional certification for experiences, masters level behaviour analysts

Certified behaviour analyst undergraduate CBAU self-regulated professional certification for experiences, undergraduate level behaviour analysts

professional member - for undergraduate level professionals engaged in behaviour anlytic practice who do not meet self-regulation requirements

Affiliate member - for professionals engaged in behaviour analytic practice who do not meet self-regulation requirements

Student member - for those currently studying within an interest in behaviour analysis

Supporter member - for members of the public, without formal behaviour analytic qualifications who are interested in australian behaviour analysis such as parents and family members, allied health practitioners, doctors etc.
