Are there university courses in behaviour analysis offered in Australia?
Yes. Currently, two universities in Australia offer relevant courses: Monash University and Griffith University (Masters or Graduate Certificate programs). Both programs meet the course requirements to become a CBA.

The Association for Behavior Analysis International website also provides a list of international universities that offer behaviour analysis courses online. Course fees vary, so please contact the university directly for current information.
Is the BCBA recognised in Australia?
The BCBA qualification is internationally recognised. However, in Australia BCBA certification alone does not allow practitioners to obtain a Medicare provider number or private health provider number.
Are certification exams from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board available in Australia?
Yes. Exams to become a BCBA, BCaBA, and RBT are currently available in Australia until December 2026.

Can ABA Australia sponsor or assist with my visa application?
ABA Australia does not sponsor BCBAs or BCaBAs to work in Australia and does not assist with visa applications. If you are interested in working in Australia, you may wish to contact behaviour analytic service providers or organisations in the state where you plan to live regarding employment opportunities.
