Description

The subfield of Sexual Behavior Analysis/SBA, a specific corner of ABA, has been growing dramatically over the past few years.  This can be attributed to a combination of factors, including increased publications, increased ABA access to individuals across populations and diagnoses, more providers with dual certification in sexological fields, and the advent of a behavior-analytic sexological certification, the Certified Behavioral Sexologist (CBS).  In this 5-hour workshop, attendees will be exposed to -- and gain practice in implementation of -- some of the base programs taught at Empowered: A Center for Sexuality, the first SBA agency in the world, which has a history of 8 years of practice with overwhelmingly positive outcomes.  Prepare for candor, behavioral rehearsals, and a new set of skills!  *Disclaimer: This workshop does not make someone competent in direct service delivery of these protocols across populations and concerns; consultation with an Empowered staff member or other consulting Sexologist is still recommended prior to actual implementation with clients.*

Objectives -- by the end of this workshop, attendees will:
