Applied Animal Behaviour Submissions
We are looking to for animal trainers, consultants, practitioners, researchers and others who support the welfare of any species through the use of behaviour analysis to come and share your knowledge and experiences. Through a presentation or poster share your example of working with one or multiple animals to change behaviour where it benefits one or more of the following:
Alternatively if you have been involved in a research study that has examined or made use of animal training or behaviour analysis we would like to hear about that. This may include where you have recorded training results over time and have achieved an outcome after putting in place a training plan. |

Animal PresentationThe purpose of the presentations at the Annual Conference are to share your intriguing story of behaviour change with any species. Research or practice (i.e., case studies) presentations should detail a particular case where you describe the background of the animal, if an assessment was used (then discuss), describe your intervention procedures and present data. As a whole, your presentation should be an informative and useful for an animal trainer or consultant's on-going professional development. The total time allotted to each speaker is 25 minutes which includes 20 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes for questions. |
Animal PosterPosters
are physical displays of information, usually reporting data about an intervention. Similar to the presentations posters should include: background, assessment (if used) and intervention should be described. Data-based posters, which require
a graph or chart of data, will receive preference. Poster session will
be held on the Saturday evening, 27th July (at the end of Day 1
presentations). Presenters are expected to be with their poster,
interact with attendees, and answer questions about the content of their
posters. |

Things to Consider
Before you submit
- When submitting your abstract be concise. Abstracts must not exceed 200 words
- Please note: Submissions may not be advertisements of institutions/organisations as would be more typical of vendor or institution exhibits.
- The online submission process takes you through a step-by-step guide to submission and allows you to submit multiple abstracts.
- Once the abstract has been submitted, you will not be able to make any further changes.

Who can submit?
We invite submissions from behaviour analysts and other related professionals and industry partners - essentially anyone with a passion and commitment to the important role that behaviour analysis plays in our society.
How to submit
- Please review the information provided in Call for Papers carefully to prepare your submission.
- Submissions must reference existing research and literature relevant to the content of the submission.
- Persons submitting must have the appropriate authorities/ permissions to share the content they are intending to present. This includes sharing of audio-visual content as part of their presentation.
- Persons submitting content must do so by submission date above to ensure that their submissions are considered for inclusion in the conference program.
- Submissions are only accepted by completing the online form (below)
What happens after I submit?
- All submissions will be reviewed following the closing date (see above) by a committee including researchers and professionals within the field.
- Inclusion of submission for the conference will be based on their scientific merit and relevance to the theme of the conference.
- All successful submissions will be contacted by outcome dates listed above.

ABA Australia Professional Development Units
All accepted presentations will qualify for ABA Australia professional development units for our professional self-regulation members. BACB CE may be offered for presentations that qualify. |
