Conference Scholarship


About the Scholarships

ABA Australia is offering a small number of conference scholarships. Scholarships will cover the cost of a the annual conference registration (Saturday & Sunday) plus additional money for travel costs as follows:

  • $400 for student members
  • $300 for affiliate, professional, CBAU or CBA members
  • Applications are OPENING SOON

  • Applications will close 31/5/2025

  • Successful applicants will be notified by 7/06/2025

Applicants must:

  • Open to any CBA, CBAU, Professional, Affiliate, or student member

  • Be a current member of Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia.

  • Live in regional/remote areas of Australia

  • Regional Australia includes all of Australia outside of the ACT, Sydney, Newcastle, the Central Coast, Wollongong, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. This means that Hobart and Darwin are classified as regional.
  • Definition of ‘regional’ based on the Regional Institute Australia and the Australian Department of Home Affairs definitions.
  • Proof of address/location will be required as part of the application process.

How to Apply

  1. Please ensure you have read all of the information above before commencing your application.

  2. Please complete the Conference Scholarship Application Form

  3. Applicants will be required to answer the following questions:

    • How will your attendance at the conference strengthen your current or future work practice?
    • How do you plan to share your experience at the conference with your local staff/colleagues?
    • How can you help promote ABA Australia in your rural/regional area?
    • In addition to these responses, applicants will also be required to submit a current and brief curriculum vitae (CV) outlining education qualifications and work experience. Please send a copy of your current curriculum vitae to events@auaba.com.au

How will applicants be selected?

The selection process will aim to reduce the barriers to participating in the conference which may be experienced by those individuals living in regional/remote areas in Australia.

The scholarships will be awarded after consideration of the responses to the selection criteria. Selection will also take into account diversity in gender, location, and fields of practice. 

Selection of the successful applicants will be determined by the ABA Australia Conference Committee.
