Certified Behaviour Analyst


The Certified Behaviour Analyst communicates to clients, employers and others that as a practitioner, you are a professionally educated and competent behaviour analyst having completed a recognised degree/certificate from an ABAI verified course sequence (or equivalent), and have undergone formal supervision in behaviour analysis.


Criteria for VCS Pathway

  1. PhD or master’s degree (AQF 9 or 10 or equivalent in your country of study) in any field (e.g., behaviour analysis, psychology, education, PBS, chemistry, nursing, etc.)
  2. Must have 270 hours of instruction at the masters level or higher (AQF 9 or 10 or equivalent in your country of study). Courses have a focus on behaviour analysis.
  3. 1500 hours of behaviour analytic experience
    1. 75 hours of supervision
    2. 1425 hours of supervised experience
  4. Live or work in Australia


Criteria for BACB Pathway

  1. Currently a BCBA-D or BCBA
  2. Live or work in Australia
