Professional Member

This regulation level is for an individual who does not qualify for CBA or CBA-U but is working in the field of applied behaviour analysis (ABA). An example would be an individual working as a behaviour support practitioner.

For this level of membership a practitioner will  have acquired 1000 hours of work experience in ABA. This work experience should provide an understanding of the basic principles of behaviour analysis, assessment, measurement, and intervention.

Criteria

  1. Undergraduate degree or higher (AQF level 7-10 or equivalent in your country of study) in any discipline.
  2. The 1000 hours of applied behaviour analytic work must cover all the following areas:

      • Conducting functional behaviour assessments;
      • Developing behaviour support plans;
      • Monitoring program progression;
      • Training relevant stakholders;
      • Working directly with clients; and
      • Program development
3. Live or work in Australia
